Rhiain is a professional and experienced pianist and teacher. In 2010, Rhiain became a Masters graduate from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, after receiving a scholarship to study at the college. Whilst at the RWCMD, Rhiain became a Licentiate of the Royal School of Music with piano performance and passed her Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music in instrumental teaching.
Rhiain has had much solo performing experience in and out of the RWCMD. Having performed in many competitions such as the Eric Hodges Beethoven Competition, and EPTA, Rhiain has gone on to play for BBC3 in the Millennium Centre in Surrey and Hampshire. Alongside her successful solo performing achievements, Rhiain also performs in a flourishing Violin duo in Wales, where one of their more noticeable concerts, was held at the National Eisteddfod of Wales.
Together with her classical performances, Rhiain also has had much experience working in various shows, including working with a top Surrey and Hampshire School with their production of West Side Story, as well as performances in Surrey and Hampshire's Millennium Centre with Hyjinx Company, with their performance of Oliver. In addition to playing in weddings and events, Rhiain also does much accompanying for ABRSM, which she manages to fit around her tuition to many private pupils.
Piano teaching and musical education has always been a passion, leading Rhiain to do much research on the different methods on piano teaching and understanding individual learning styles. With experience working in private and state, primary and secondary schools, Rhiain continues to provide a high quality level of teaching in the community.
